Edward Mwelwa, Ph.D. Managing Director and Senior Consultant
Dr. Edward Mwelwa brings to Teleos Leadership Institute many years of coaching and counseling executives through leadership development and organizational transformation. Eddy's expertise is customizing an intervention by integrating a number of disciplines and processes. He has a special interest in the application of Emotional Intelligence to executive coaching, work relationships, leadership and authority, and large system change as an organizational intervention.
In addition to his work with Teleos, Eddy also serves on the faculty of the University of Pennsylvania at the Wharton School's Aresty Institute of Executive Education.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
Prior to joining Teleos Leadership Institute, Eddy owned Eland Consulting, a firm specializing in executive coaching and counseling. Prior to his work with Eland Consulting, he lived in the United Kingdom, where he consulted to government and business on leadership development, managing organizational change, team restructuring, group dynamics and workplace cultural change. He has written and presented articles on the application of Gestalt Theory to counseling, effective relationships in the workplace, managing alcohol related problems at work, psychotherapy and counseling at work, and the prevention of alcohol related problems at work.
EDUCATION
Edward Mwelwa received his doctorate in Occupational Psychology from Cranfield University (Bedford, England) and his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Lancaster (England). He has continued his studies with the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland in Organization and System Development.
