PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
Lisa J. Koss is a certified management consultant (CMC®), trainer and coach who works with global clients such as Honeywell International, Heifer Project International, Molex Inc. and Pulte Homes in projects ranging from leadership development to organizational change initiatives. Her goal is to take leaders and leadership teams to the next level to achieve their goals…faster. She uses proven methods to engage people in taking part in their own solution -- to identify what’s getting in the way of their goals and accelerate the learning to achieve measurable results. Add to that her extensive international experience and fluency in English, Spanish and French and she is perfectly positioned to serve her clients in any culturally diverse or global environment.
Lisa serves as regular visiting faculty at the Thunderbird School of Global Management and serves as ongoing visiting faculty since 2001 in the Executive MBA program at the Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores del Occidente (ITESO) in Guadalajara, Mexico. She has also taught at the Universidad Panamericana and the UNIVA, both in Mexico. She also serves as liaison to Mexico and Latin America for the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), where she supports cross-border trade between women entrepreneurs in the Americas. In 2007, she won the Ana del Valle Award from the Roberto Rovere Foundation in Argentina for her entrepreneurial work in Latin America.
In 2008, Lisa achieved her designation of Certified Management Consultant (CMC®), which reflects that she has met the strict certification requirements of the Institute of Management Consultants USA. Candidates for Institute certification undergo a thorough investigation of their consulting experience and results. The designation represents evidence of the highest standards of consulting and adherence to the ethical canons of the profession. Less than one percent of all consultants have achieved this level of performance.
In recent years, Lisa has been recognized by her professional peers, being presented on two different occasions with The Desert Diamond Award - Bridge Builder of the Year and the Pioneer Award of the Year by the Phoenix Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners. She was also recognized in the Phoenix Business Journal as one of five recipients of their “Women To Watch” designation.
Lisa is a recipient of a two Fulbright-Hays awards from the U.S. government to provide business consulting in Mexico.
EDUCATION
Lisa is a PhD candidate at Fielding Graduate University in the Department of Human and Organizational Development. She is also a graduate of the Organizational Systems and Development International Coaching Program (2008), which is accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF), and a graduate of the International Organizational Systems and Development Program through the Gestalt OSD Center.
She was awarded her Masters of Arts in training and development with highest honors at the University of Southern Mississippi’s Morelia, Mexico campus, her Bachelor of Arts in International Relations at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, and has studied at prestigious educational institutions in France, Costa Rica and Russia.
