Vanesa Carceller
Consultant
 Vanesa Carceller currently works as Head of Origination for Apollo Management (a $45B private equity and alternative investments American firm) in Spain. Her role requires to influence financial institutions to sell assets to Apollo, project mange the acquisition process and negotiate contracts, prices and terms for the sale.
Miss Carceller’ has an MBA from IESE Business School and 12 of experience developing businesses in a variety of industries in the USA, Australia, UK and Spain. She has extensive teaching and coaching experience, having taught several executive courses at the prestigious IESE Business School in Barcelona, as well as at Accenture’s Center for Professional Education in Illinois, USA. Miss Carceller also has strong analytical skills, logical business approach and strategic vision acquired as a consultant in top international firms. Hands on managerial experience, excellent commercial skills and entrepreneurial attitude applied to the successful launch of businesses, business units and products with teams, budget and P& L responsibilities.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
Vanesa developed most of her professional skills in top strategy consulting firms Bain & Company and Accenture. At Accenture, Vanesa spend 9 months teaching and coaching consultants and trainers at their Human Performance Design School (2 weeks goal-based scenario course) and at their Performance Enhancement School (mix of lectures and role playing). Vanesa was responsible for training approximately 1,000 consultants worldwide. She spent considerable time dedicated to organizational development and strategic change projects, but also dedicating time to managing a team of consultants/ trainers in designing and delivering training in Change Management and Organisational Development. Prior to working for Apollo Management, she was Marketing Director of Renta Corporación, a Spanish real estate company, leading up to its IPO in May 2006.
The involvement of Vanesa with IESE has been part time as an external collaborator. She taught the executive course “Develop your Communication Skills” and “Managerial Communications” to the 2010 MBA class; both courses focused on influence and communication in a business setting, and included a mix of lectures, coaching and individual feedback with video analysis. She has taught approximately 200 people in these programs.
EDUCATION
Vanesa holds a BSc in Economics and Business Administration by Universitat Pompeu Fabra, in Barcelona. She also holds an MBA from IESE business school.
