Chris Allen Thomas

Manager of Research and Knowledge

Chris Allen Thomas is manager of research and knowledge at Teleos. In that capacity, Chris works both with Teleos teams and with clients to organize and analyze qualitative business research, perform research reviews, and develop new materials. Additionally, Chris is responsible for managing the extensive body of business research conducted by Teleos over the past decade.

Chris specializes in Thematic Analysis of Dynamic Inquiries, a powerful methodology that examines different aspects of an organization’s culture, norms, values and beliefs. Through this process, themes are identified which allow leaders to create a “shared language” and a deeper understanding of the emotional drivers in the organization, opening a discourse that helps leaders move from ideas to actions with a sustained momentum of energy.

Prior to joining Teleos, Chris worked as a research assistant in Penn Graduate School of Education and the Wharton School’s doctoral program for Work-Based Learning Leadership, informally dubbed the “Chief Learning Officer” program. Chris’ work with the CLO program encompassed its first three years.

Chris holds a bachelor’s degree in linguistics from U.C. Berkeley and is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Pennsylvania. He is working on his dissertation, a discourse analysis of culture and interaction in Executive Education programs. He has published on the topics of organizational language policy and planning, adult learning, and organizational learning.
